I offer translations primarily from English or German into Hungarian in both my specialty and my working fields. On request and in a few cases, I may translate from Hungarian into English or German.

I support almost all possible source file formats and can also translate websites or contribute to software localisation. Moreover, I can translate documents that are only available in PDF format.

Besides translating documents, I can create translation memories from existing translations (from a wide range of file formats) by using SDL WinAlign 2007.

On request and in a few cases, I may interpret in my working fields. A prerequisite for this service is that sufficient background information is available and sufficient time for preparation is provided.

Layout or basic editing is usually made by using a word processing software and might include the following:

• Definition and application of styles
• Removal of unnecessary line or page breaks and spaces
• Replacing of fonts
• Change of page size and orientation
• Adjustment of margins
• Creation and editing of indexes
• Editing of tables

Layout editing does not include, however, the editing of images, the design of a cover, or any kind of graphic design.

You should choose this service, if you have a simple and short text document (e.g. CV, cover letter, article, or term paper) that does not contain images or the images don't need to be edited. Otherwise, you should consider my desktop publishing services.

Desktop publishing differs from layout editing in that it also includes graphic design and the target document is created by using desktop publishing software, such as Adobe InDesign. Correspondingly, desktop publishing provides more control over design, layout, and typography.

If you have a thesis/book that needs to be prepared for publication, or newsletters and brochures that contain lots of images, this is the service you should choose.

I can also design your logo, business card, or social media icons for your website or blog.

I offer competitive pricing based on the format, size and theme of your document and the complexity and urgency of the job.

Prices for translation, proofreading, and layout editing are usually calculated per word of source text.

Prices for terminology management, interpreting, and desktop publishing are usually charged at an hourly rate.

Extra charges are applied for weekend and over-night work, for the translation of documents in PDF format, or for any jobs that require 'special treatment' in terms of translating or editing.

Your payment is usually due 15 days from successful completion of the job. I invoice in euros (EUR) or Hungarian forint (HUF), payable to my bank account in Hungary. I also accept credit card payment through PayPal.
